This stimulating workshop will expose participants to Jo Lloyd's current choreographic interests, with a focus on the methodologies she developed to create OVERTURE.
Participants will be given the opportunity to integrate these approaches, under the direction of Jo into their own practices, encouraging individual movement tendencies and potential.
Jo will conduct a thorough progressive warm up to prepare the body for choreographic investigations, which will use language to stimulate the imagination and physical interpretation.
One of Jo’s interests is in the possibility for dance to reside in all bodies and her choreographic methods allow for the dance to appear through each individual.
This workshop is suitable for practicing artists of all career stages who have a physical performance or movement practice. It is not suitable for people without prior performance experience or a professional practice.
