The dancer who wished he was an acrobat, but also wished he could shred the mic like Layne Staley, but of course with the dramatic presence of Charlie Chaplin. But... really just and amalgamation of insecurities and self-sabotage shunned through a performative lens.
Artist: Romain Hassanin
Romain is a French-Australian performer with roots in urban movement forms parkour, capoeira, tricking and breaking (breakdance). He studied contemporary dance in Melbourne, where he got to work with Adam Wheeler, James Batchelor, Daniel Roberts and Robbie Curtis. Currently he is involved with physical theatre company Legs on the Wall, and Blindful in Melbourne. As an independent performer he works in the performance realms of dance, physical theatre and parkour. Credits include Skate project by Big hArt, Hillbilly Thriller and The Raft by Legs on the Wall, My Sight Their Sight by Blindful, and various independent works including his own short works Crepitus and Anima.
