For March Dance 2022, Sydney Experimental Arts Ensemble will undertake an intensive creative development for Eliza Cooper’s choreographic work ‘Bat Lake’. ‘Bat Lake’ will be presented live in 2022 and feature Sydney’s emerging freelance dancers Allie Graham, Maxine Carlisle, Strickland Young and Mitchell Christie.

Eliza is a Sydney-based dancer, choreographer, director and costume designer. She performed in Opera Australia’s production of Graeme Murphy’s 'Turandot' (Sydney Opera House & Melbourne Arts Centre) and in Catapult Dance Company’s 'Mixed Bill' in Kristina Chan's 'Shimmering Towards Silence' (The Civic Theatre & ARA Darling Quarter Theatre). Her first full-length ensemble work 'Old Life/ Dead Life' was performed at the Old 505 Theatre and Io Myers Theatre in collaboration with the Australian Centre for Astrobiology. Eliza is performing in Dance Makers Collective’s 2021 regional tour of 'Dads', Opera Australia’s 2022 season of 'Turandot' and in Pepa Molina’s professional ensemble Las Flamenkas.
